Mindy A. Cohen

Mindy A. Cohen
Why do so many not for profit organizations find their way to Mindy Cohen? She has been the leading light in the planning and execution of fundraising events for over 30 years. Her attention to detail is unrivaled, and her clients know that when they hire Evergreen they are assured a first class project. Mindy leads a staff of professionals that begin every project by developing a project timeline and setting ambitious yet realistic goals.

Mindy's knowledge of the donor communities, her enthusiastic work style and her endless energy are the reason that clients partner with Evergreen year after year. She has created fundraising traditions for colleges, social service agencies, arts organizations and healthcare based non-profits. With her team, Mindy brings energy to events that are getting tired, reinvents annual celebrations and creatively reduces the overhead while expanding the gross receipts.

Mindy grew up in the Philadelphia area and earned her BA at George Washington University. After a successful career on Capitol Hill, she began her own fundraising consulting service with clients nationwide. Her next career stop was to serve as the exclusive fundraising counsel for Senator Frank Lautenberg for over a decade.

Joining with partner Karen Kessler, they formed Evergreen Partners in 1993. As the firm grew and prospered, Mindy devoted her non-work time to pursue her love of jazz and blues music. She was elected to the Board of WBGO in 2002, and was elected Chair of the Board in 2009, the first woman to ever serve in this role.
